An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Kolbe Special School caters for pupils from 4 - 18 years with a severe and profound learning disability and those with an additional diagnosis of autism. There are currently 48 pupils enrolled. We have recently moved into our new school.
Kolbe Special School offers the pupils a primary curriculum, Junior Cycle level 1 and Senior Cycle Level 1. We are a DCU Changemakers School.
The successful candidates will work as a member of a team of 9 teachers, 32 SNAs, 2 Nurses, 16 Bus Escorts, Secretary and Caretaker. The school is supported by an Occupational Therapist as part of the NCSE Support Team. We also have a HSE team of Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist and Physiotherpaist.
