An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Additional Information:

Kolbe Special School caters for children from 4 - 18 years witha severe and profound learning diability and those with an additional diagnosis of autism. There are currently 48 pupils enrolled. We have recently moved into our new school.

The successful candidates witll be working alongside a team of 9 teachers, 32 SNAs, 2 school nurses, secretary, caretaker, 16 Bus Escorts and a team that includes Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist and Speech Therapist.

Manual Handling and training in dealing with behaviours of concern is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
