Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of:
Special Class Teacher
Gorey Hill School, Co. Wexford
(Roll Number 20580J)
Permanent Contract
Full-time – 32 hours per week
Gorey Hill School is a Special School that provides an appropriate education for students, aged 4 to 18 years old, who have a diagnosis of Autism and complex learning needs or complex learning needs with a professional recommendation for a special school.
The teacher works as part of a multidisciplinary and collaborative team to promote each student’s learning, wellbeing, communication, independence, and inclusion.
On application for the post, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
Be fully registered with the Teaching Council under Route 1 (Primary), Route 4 (Other) or Route 2 (Post Primary) with the Teaching Council.
Experience supporting students with autism and or Moderate or Severe general learning disabilities may be advantageous.
Experience or interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) would be beneficial.
