An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

At Lakeview School we believe that co-operation and team work are essential for an effective school and for the personal and educational development of our students. We are looking for SNA's who show interest in each of our students' educational and personal development. It is essential to have experience in a special educational setting preferably in a special school and that the successful candidate will have the necessary skills to work with pupils who have complex profiles. This appointment requires somebody who demonstrates flexibility, is a team player, has a calm disposition, is confident in dealing with behaviours that challenge, is physically active, has supervision skills and shows initiative. Preference will be given to candidates who have proven experience in the management of those displaying behaviours that challenge.
Applicants are reminded to complete every section of the application form including levels of award. Failure to comply may result in applicants not being shortlisted for interview. Shortlisting may apply. In addition to compliance with vetting legislation, candidates are required to provide names and contact details of TWO CURRENT PROFESSIONAL referees.
