Art - 15 hours per week
Casual Fixed Term Contract
St Joseph's School for the Visually Impaired Drumcondra teaches students with a visual impairment, many of whom have additional needs, including learning disabilities.
To qualify for appointment candidates must be able to comply with the following:
•Be fully registered with the Teaching Council under Route 1 (Primary), Route 2 (Post Primary) or Route 3 (Further Education).
•An additional qualification of working in Special Education is advantageous.
•Experience and having a real interest and dedication to working with students with Special Educational Needs to help them achieve their full potential is extremely important and highly desirable.
•A flexible approach, with focus on tactile and 3D art, including all art mediums.
•Experience in using Art as a therapeutic process would be highly desirable.
Appointments will be subject to:
•Vetting requirements
•Occupational Health Screening.
•Evidence of current Teaching Council Registration
