An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Courtenay National School is a DEIS Band 1 Catholic Primary School with 5 Special Classes. This post is in mainstream initially, but is subject to change at the determination of the Principal.
The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education. Experience of working as part of a team with experience of teaching in a diverse and inclusive setting is desirable. Probation, experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school, additional relevant qualifications or evidence of relevant CPD would be advantageous.
Experience of setting targets to support pupils social, emotional, literacy and numeracy development is also desirable.
Applications should be clearly marked 'Application for Mainstream Teaching Post'. Non-compliance with terms of the advertisement will automatically disqualify
candidates.
Applications should be accompanied by proof of qualification, Teaching Council registration and teaching practice grades. Standard application forms should include a minimum of three professional referees.
