An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Waterford ETNS is a warm, welcoming school and we are looking for kind and dedicated teachers to join our team. We have a collaborative approach to teaching and value the voice and experience of every staff member. Our school first opened its doors in 2002 with one class. Since then, we have grown to cater for 16 mainstream classes from Junior Infants-6th class, as well as two classes for autistic students.

We are currently recruiting for 3 maternity leave positions that will begin at the start of the 2026/2027 Academic Year. These will be a mixture of mainstream class teacher and special education teacher roles.
