An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Red Door School, is inviting applications for 2 x Fixed Term Teaching Posts commencing in the upcoming school year (26/27). These are exceptional teaching posts above our class allocation. This is a great opportunity to join a highly supportive and dedicated school community committed to meeting the needs of children and young people with autism and complex needs.

We are looking for a teacher who is inclusive, flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and can work on their own initiative whilst making a positive contribution to the school team.

We are a school for children with Autism and complex needs, aged 4-18. Experience working with autistic children in a special school setting will be a distinct advantage. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience in supporting autistic pupils, demonstrate the ability to work within and lead a class team, have experience working from behavioural support plans and managing behaviours of concern.

We are looking for a special class teacher who has a willingness to learn and an interest in educating pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and complex special needs.

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake in-school training which relates to the needs of pupils and the school which will be provided on site.
