An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Scoil Naomh Pádraig invites applications for four Special Needs Assistant (SNA) positions. One position is a Standard Post, and three are Temporary, Fixed-term Posts arising from a career break and job-sharing arrangements (for the 2026-2027 school year). All four posts are infant day hours (0.83 hours).
The successful candidate will:
• Show a strong commitment to supporting children in a respectful, inclusive and nurturing manner
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and make a positive contribution to the life of the school
• Actively support and promote the ethos and values of our school
• Have experience supporting pupils with additional needs, including autism and medical care needs (such as diabetes), or demonstrate a willingness to engage in relevant training and ongoing professional learning
• Hold a qualification appropriate to the SNA role
Duties are as outlined by the Department of Education circulars. The role may be in the mainstream or Autism class setting.
