The Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire, under the Patronage of The Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the permanent position of Administrative Principal Teacher, commencing on September 7th, 2026.
The current Teaching Staff comprises 1 Administrative Principal, 18 Mainstream Class Teachers, 2 alleviation posts, 6 SETs, 1 EAL Teacher, 3 Supply teachers and 5 SNAs. The school also has a NCSE allocation of 25 hrs SET and 3 SNAs for Ukrainian pupils. The school has two part-time School Secretaries and a part-time Caretaker.
The School has just been sanctioned a Special Class for Children with Autism for September 2026 and A Home school Community Liaison Co-ordinator.
The roles and responsibilities for the post are set out in the four domains of Leadership and Management as specified in Department of Education Circular 0044/2019, Chapter 4.
