An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Rathoe National School seeks applications from suitably qualified candidates for this SNA position comprising of the infant day (0.83 post). Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible and have a strong work ethic. It is a prerequisite that candidates have particular experience working with children with Autism. They must also have experience working as an SNA in a classroom setting with pupils requiring support across a range of needs including learning, sensory, physical and/or intimate care needs.

The successful candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to undertaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD), flexibility in responding to the needs of the school and pupils and the ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team.
