Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Scoil Triest is a special school for students aged 12-18 years who have a dual diagnosis of Autism and mild / moderate intellectual disability.
There are currently 14 Class Teachers, 6 Subject Teachers and 41 Special Needs Assistants on staff.
Experience of working with students with a dual diagnosis of Autism and intellectual disability is essential. Experience of working in a Special school /Special class is essential.
Additional relevant courses(e.g. First Aid, Promoting Positive Behaviour Support Strategies, CPI, Lámh etc) would be highly desirable.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary panel with supplementary panel rights , must furnish a certified copy of a completed Panel form PF1 with their application.
Interviews are expected to take place the week beginning 11th May 2026 (this may change).

There will be initially 5 Temporary Fixed Term Positions during the 2026-2027 academic year. A panel will also be formed for any other positions that may arise during the academic year e.g. maternity leave etc.
