An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Michael's House Grosvenor School Leopardstown Road, Dublin 18 caters for pupils with special educational needs such as Down Syndrome or Autism. These are part-time posts: 4 Hours per day, 5 days a week (two hours in the morning 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and two hours in the afternoon: 2:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m.(approximately) Monday to Friday during term time.)
There are two posts: one to escort a student in a taxi from Rathmines in Dublin 6 to the school in Leopardstown, Dublin 18, the other post is to escort a student in a taxi from Finglas in Dublin 11 to the school in Leopardstown, Dublin 18
The escort meets the taxi operator at the pick up point (Rathmines or Finglas) at approximately 7:30 a.m. (and the escort is dropped back to that point by 9:30 a.m.). Similarly in the afternoon the escort would be picked up by the driver at the same point (at approximately 2:00 p.m and brought in to the school in Leopardstown in order to bring the same student home from school. The taxi should finish back at the starting point by 4:00 p.m.
We are also seeking to form a panel of escorts who would provide occasional substitute cover on school bus runs in south and west Dublin.
The hourly rate is €15.82. Holiday pay will be paid at 8%. The hourly rate, inclusive of holiday pay will be €17.09 (€15.82 +8%).
Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting requirements and verification of references. Please include at least two referees and their contact details in your letter of application.
