Castlesampson NS is a vertical co-educational school under the patronage Bishop Duignan of Clonfert Diocese. The present teaching staff comprises of 2 mainstream Class Teachers, 1 SET teacher, plus a visiting SET twice a week and 2 SNAs with a projected enrolment of 39 students for September 2026.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong inter-personal skills that are required to lead and maintain a happy, active and progressive school community. A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school is essential. Likewise fostering links with the wider community is desirable.
At all times, we strive for high academic standards, achievable by each child, where inclusivity is actively promoted. In addition, pupils are provided with opportunities to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
The roles and responsibilities of this post relate to the 4 domains of Leadership and Management, as specified in circular 0044/2019:
