An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Brendan's PS has been designated by the Department of Education and Skills as a base school for the Primary Supply Panel in south Offaly / North Tipperary. The purpose of the Supply Panel is to provide substitute cover in a designated cluster of schools for teachers who are absent on short term substitutable leave. This Supply panel teacher will be appointed to St Brendan's PS (the base school) under a substitute contract from January to June- be required to provide substitute cover in all schools in a designated cluster ( 25k circle around Birr) and may be deployed into a variety of school settings including various class standards,
special education settings and Irish -medium schools.
Travel expenses will be payable to the supply panel teacher as per Circular 0009/2015.
Canvassing will disqualify.
