An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Joseph's Special School has 12 classes currently, made up of three Primary classes for students with Mild General Learning Disability, five Post Primary classes for students with Mild General Learning Disability and four classes specifically for Autistic students with a General Learning Disability. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each student and we offer access to the primary curriculum, Junior Cycle and LCA.

We are looking for one Substitute (mathernity) Special Class Teacher to join our team as a teacher in one of of senior Autism classes (following the L1LP). While not essential, experience and qualifications in supporting students with additional needs is desirable.
While the position is likely to start on 5th January we may be able to offer work from the start of December.
