An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Tullamore Educate Together NS is a 10 mainstream class school with two AS classes. There is a current enrolment of 237 pupils. The staff consists of 17 teachers, 6 SNAs, a full-time secretary, caretaker and cleaner.
The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator, with strong inter-personal skills. Candidates should be able to display evidence of the ability to foster the involvement of parents within the school community as well as a commitment to inclusion and diversity.
An understanding of the Educate Together Ethos will also be assessed along with a thorough understanding of SEN.
The criteria for interview will be based on Looking at Our Schools 2022 and the following four domains-
1.Leading learning and teaching
2.Managing the organisation
3.Leading school development
4.Developing leadership capacity
Candidates must:
*Be fully registered with the Teaching Council
*Have at least 5 years recognised primary teaching experience
*Comply with the eligibility criteria for principalship as set out in Circular 44/2019 from the Department of Education
