The Board of Management of St. Patrick's N.S., Broomfield, Co. Monaghan, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the permanent position of Principal Teacher.
St. Patrick's N.S. is a Co Educational rural school with a current enrolment of 140 pupils under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Clogher.
This is a permanent position appointed through open competition in line with Circular 0044/2019. The ideal candidate will:
1. Lead teaching and learning
2. Manage the organisation.
3. Lead school development.
4. Develop leadership capacity.
The successful candidate will be an experienced educational leader who can demonstrate:
● A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school,
● A clear vision of how to lead quality teaching and learning and an understanding of the dual role of the teaching -principal,
● Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school-based initiatives and projects,
● A commitment to inclusive education, with an ability to lead and support mainstream and special education teaching,
● A willingness to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with all staff members, Board of Management, parents/guardians and the wider school community,
● A willingness and ability to work in partnership with external agencies.
