An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Anglesboro NS invites applications for the position of a full-time Special Needs Assistant in an Autism Class to cover a maternity leave beginning on 23rd October working up to Easter.
Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications as per DES guidelines. Experience working in an Autism Class is desirable.
Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
Candidates must be patient, diligent, have a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school, work well as part of a team and be willing to avail of relevant training. The role of the successful candidate will involve working with children who require support across a range of learning, physical and sensory difficulties.
Knowledge and experience of supporting children with autism is essential. Candidates who are invited to interview will be contacted by email.
