Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Ashton School seeks to recruit a school transport escort for two hours per day, five days per week, in line with the school calendar. The escort is currently required to accompany one or more students accessing post primary education at Ashton School travelling to and from school each day by taxi.
Specific times will be determined by pick-up points agreed by the escort and the taxi driver. However, the children are required to arrive to school in advance of the start time of 8.50 a.m. and are collected from the school at 3.50 p.m.
The hourly rate of pay is set by the Department of Education and Youth. It is currently €15.20 per hour in line with the Department of Education and Youth guidelines for school escorts.
Good communication skills are essential. Experience of working with children is desirable.
Appointment and start date is subject to Garda vetting requirements, verification of references, training as required and the availability of a transport service. Please include one work reference, one character reference and contact details for each with your application.
