Thomond Primary School is a mainstream school with two special classes for autistic learners. We are now inviting applications for a teaching position on our Special Education Teaching team for Term One, with the possibility of extension.
Highly desirable requirements include;
- knowledge & experience of teaching pupils with a range of complex needs
- knowledge & experience of teaching in a DEIS school
- previous experience in literacy, numeracy, wellbeing initiatives aswell as a willingness and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- involvement in extra-curricular activities such as music, the arts, coaching team sports or other activities
Applicants should be diligent, enthusiastic, and innovative educators who are eager to engage with our whole school community and contribute to the overall development of the school.
Candidates must hold a certificate to teach RE and should include a copy of this certificate with their application.
Appointment will be subject to, but not limited to, satisfactory references, current Garda Vetting requirements & Occupational Health Screening. Additionally, appointments will require current & continuing Teaching Council registration.
