An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We invite applications for a permanent SNA position for a full day. Duties may change according to the care needs of pupils. The successful candidate must work well as part of a team, be flexible, and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training/CPD related to the needs of the children and the school.
The school operates a policy of rotation of our SNA team. The pupils each SNA is allocated to support are subject to change.
Applicants must satisfy all Department of Education appointment criteria and candidates are required to provide names and contact details of two professional referees.
Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, occupational health screening, Patron approval and satisfactory references. Applications will only be accepted by email on the Standard application form. Applications sent to any other email addresses connected to the school will not be accepted. Emails sent to other email addresses connected to the school about applications made cannot be replied to or considered as part of applications made. (ie) Any canvassing will disqualify without exception.
Knowledge and experience of working with students with ASD in Mainstream, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Behavioural difficulties, ADHD and Dyspraxia is desirable.
Only candidates shortlisted for interview will receive a response at the interview stage of the recruitment process. The decision of the interview board is final.
