An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Little Angels Special National School caters for students with a moderate or severe to profound learning difficulty aged 4-18 years. In addition, many students have additional needs such as an assessed syndrome, autism, physical disability and complex medical needs.
Experience working with children with ASD and challenging behaviour in a special school setting will be a distinct advantage. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience and competency in the use of augmentative communication and assistive technologies for pupils with ASD, demonstrate the ability to work within a team, have experience developing and working from behavioural support plans and managing challenging behaviour.
We are recruiting for 1 permanent teaching post, 2 fixed term teaching posts and two specific purpose contracts including one to cover a maternity leave position.
