Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applications are invited for 0.5 Standard SNA post. The successful candidate will be required to carry out the hours over the standard 5 day school week.
Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as per DES guidelines. An additional qualification in additional/special needs care and/or education is advantageous. Relevant experience working in an ASD class, assisting children with medical needs and with intimate care needs is desirable.
The candidate must display a strong work ethic, flexibility and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team. High levels of communication, along with a willingness to engage in further training is extremely important. The successful candidate will be expected to respect the confidentiality of students at all times. Duties as per circular 0030/2014.

The post is subject to review by the DE/NCSE. Appointments will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
