Thank you for your interest in our school. This is a maternity leave contract and should run until 01/05/2026. Every effort will be made to provide substitution hours for the month of May. Interviews will take place the week of 11th August.
It is preferable that the candidate will be qualified to teach at least two curricular subjects. Teaching of other subjects new to the candidate may be required. Experience in the teaching of short courses and Additional Educational Needs is desirable.

Firhouse Educate Together Secondary School opened in August 2018 as a restorative, equality-based second-level school. Applications are invited from teachers who understand the Educate Together ethos and who would like to be involved in inclusive, diverse and equality-based education in Firhouse. Ideal candidates will be fully committed to creative and collaborative teaching, learning and assessment, and to developing a strong co-curricular and extra-curricular culture. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a developing school!
The position is subject to sanction by the Department of Education and is in line with relevant circular letters. The start date states 01/09/2025 in line with the date of the commencement of contracts with the Department of Education. Induction for new team members takes place on 19th and 20th August with the return of the full team on 21st August. We look forward to hearing from you.
