Mainstream Class teacher - Substitute Maternity Position

Cork University Hospital School is a hospital school located in the Cork University Hospital, Wilton, Cork. It is a co-educational, multi-denominational, vertical school, catering for both Primary and Post-Primary pupils who are in-patients in the hospital with acute or chronic medical needs. The provision of education includes both 1:1 sessions at the bedside and in a small classroom setting. Pupils are a mix of those enrolled in both mainstream and special education settings.

To qualify for appointment candidates must be able to comply with the following: Be fully registered with the Teaching Council under Route 1 (Primary) or Route 2 (Post-Primary). Experience teaching in a medical or special education setting is desirable. The candidate must be adaptable and flexible to provide for a diverse and transitory population of students, across a wide range of age groups. Candidates must be able to work on their own initiative and in a team capacity. A high standard of Mathematics is advantageous.
