Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applicants must have experience in working with children with a Severe and Profound Learning and Physical Disability, sensory and complex disabilities with Complex Medical needs. Applicants must also have worked as part of a school based team.
Applicants must have experience in managing epilepsy and have completed training in the administration of Buccal Midazolam.
Experience necessary in essential school based competencies including FEDS (feeding, eating, drinking, swallowing), hoisting, toileting, incontinence issues, assisting with physiotherapy exercises, occupational therapy activities and speech and language exercises.
IT experience desirable with AAC devices, ipads, tablets, switches, interactive whiteboard. Lámh sign language needed.
This SNA post is based in the Special Class in St. Joseph's NS, Boyerstown for children with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties and Complex Medical Needs. It is a full time post. Please note that our SNA allocation is subject to regular review by NCSE.

Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of their completed Panel Form (PF1) with their application.
