An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Forgney NS, initially advertised this permanent vacancy on staffroom.ie on the 4th day of July 2025 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Meath. The closing date was the 10th day of June 2025.
The closing date for submissions of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on staffroom.ie to the 12th July 2025, in line with circular 0090/2024.
As no valid applications were received during either period, the Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
This post is a shared SET post between Forgney NS and Colehill NS and includes a principal release day in Colehill NS.
The successful candidate will be required to act up as deputy principal in Forgney NS for the duration of a maternity leave and teach in the senior classroom.
A maternity leave position commencing at the end of September will also be filled from this process, the successful candidate will be in the advertised SET role for the duration of the maternity leave.
Candidates must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education and up to date Garda Vetting.
