An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a standard 0.83. SNA Position. Weekly Contracted Hours 26hr 30mins in addition Croke Park Hours pro rata (59.76 hours/) are essential as part of the SNA contract.
Applicants must have
- Qualifications as per Department of Education Circular 0030/2014.
Candidates must be able to work as part of a team, be flexible and have experience working with children with additional needs. Duties will involve supporting pupils in our special classes and mainstream classes. Particular experience with ASD is recommended.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect the dignity and confidentiality of pupils, staff and parents in our school community.
The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, confirmation of qualifications and references, Pre-employment medical screening via the Occupational Health Service (OHS) and Patron approval. This post is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
