An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This position is a full time post, sanctioned until the end of Term One and is dependent on the numbers of qualifying pupils being retained in the school. The appointee would be a member of the school's Special Education Team and work hand in hand with the other SNAs, SENTs and Class Teachers to ensure maximum support for the children identified. Experience as an SNA in mainstream is not essential but is desirable and only applicants with an appropriate qualification will be considered. Qualities such as patience, integrity, flexibility, kindness, caring and dependability are essential -as is a sense of humour!
