An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a fixed term post for one year with additional duties of a Deputy Principal.
The following skills and experience are desirable:
- A strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum and a range of teaching experience including experience in a multi-grade setting.
- Knowledge of and experience of Special Educational Needs and EAL and a demonstrated ability to provide a differentiated curriculum.
- Willingness to lead and organise innovative initiatives and events that foster a sense of community and a strong school culture.
- Strong communication skills which contribute to the development of the school in collaboration with the Principal, staff, pupils and the whole school community.
- Ability to promote a culture of caring, learning and creativity amongst all stakeholders.
A minimum of three eligible applications are required for this competition to proceed.
