An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 18th day of June 2025, for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, County Carlow.
The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 23rd day of June 2025.
The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 26th day of June 2025.
The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
3 Fixed Term positions for the academic year 2025/2026 will be filled through this process also.
St. Laserian's School is a special school; we educate students aged 5-18 with Mild, Moderate, and Severe to Profound I.D. Many students have complex needs.
Experience of working with children/young adults with an Intellectual Disability and with Autism is an advantage, as is experience in using LÁMH and training, knowledge, and experience of managing behaviours that challenge but not essential.
We are interested in teachers who are passionate, caring and professional, and who will join our established team in making a difference in our learner's educational journey.
CPD will be provided.
