This post is in special education but the successful candidate may be asked to step into the special classes for children with autism on occasion or Junior and Senior Infant classroom. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education and must be registered with the Teaching Council. Additional qualifications or evidence of ongoing CPD in special education would be advantageous. Working as a team teacher to set appropriate targets and support pupils social, emotional, literacy and numeracy development is also essential. Appointment will be subject to current Garda vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
