An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a mainstream post initially but subject to change at the discretion of the principal.
Tarbert N.S. is a Catholic school. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education.
Tarbert NS is seeking professionals who are team players and willing to contribute to the overall development of the school both curricular and extra-curricular.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
• Probation
• Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
• Good knowledge of teaching children with SEN & EAL
• Experience in and or commitment to leading initiatives
Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
• School Support Plans, Standardised Testing, Guided Reading, Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Interests/skills/experience in PE/Sport and Music are advantageous.
Excellent classroom management skills, planning skills and flexibility are essential for this position.
