Mount Mercy College seeks an SNA on a .5 job sharing basis. We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Special Needs Assistant (SNA) to join our inclusive and nurturing school community. This role involves direct 1:1 support for a student with Down syndrome, providing both academic assistance and help with primary care needs to promote the student’s independence, learning, and well-being.
The successful applicant must meet the following essential requirements:
1. Relevant QQI Level 5/6 qualification in Special Needs Assisting (or equivalent).
2. Demonstrated experience working with children with intellectual disabilities or additional needs preferably to include children with Down syndrome.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. A patient, caring, and flexible approach.
