An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The successful candidates are expected to carry out the duties as per Circular 0030/2014 and relevant updated notices and/or circulars.
Candidates must be able to work well within a team, display a strong work ethic, be adaptable and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
The successful candidates will be expected to respect the confidentiality of all of the students at all times and to respect and uphold the school’s Catholic ethos.
The successful candidate would ideally have good communication skills, evidence of CPD in Special Education and hold A FETAC Level 5 or 6 is desirable for this role.
Knowledge and experience of working with children within an Autism class setting is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be required to work with children:
A). who require support across a range of learning, sensory difficulties and/or intimate care toileting needs.
B). with Autism and other complex needs.
C). who are pre-verbal
D). who may display challenging behaviour.
E).Have complex medical needs.
Appointment is subject to vetting requirements, Occupational Health screening, TUSLA Child Safeguarding Training and Patron approval.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA supplementary panel, should submit their completed PF1 form with the application form.
