An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Lisnagry NS is seeking a bus escort travelling from the school each morning and afternoon.
This is a part-time position, every working day of school terms, for approximately 3 hours per day (approximately 15 hours per work). Hours of work are based on Bus Eireann timesheets.

Garda Vetting and verification of references will be a requirement of the position. Please include at least two referees and their contact details in your letter of application.

Responsibilities include:
-Assisting children getting on and off the bus/transport safety
-Taking responsibility for the safety of the children for the duration of the journey to/from school until they can hand over to school staff/parent/responsible person.
-Making sure all children are seated with appropriate straps/harnesses secured before bus leaves the home/school
-Ensure that each pupil is received by a responsible person at drop off point.
- Build and maintain good relationships with parents and school staff
-Observe confidentiality in all aspects of work
-Perform any other duties relevant to the position of school bus escort which may be assigned by the Principal from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with children, have an understanding of additional needs, and be able to work with parents and school staff in a professional manner. They must also be available to work in keeping with the school calendar (182 school days)

Salary Scale :The revised hourly rate is 15.20 per hour. Holiday pay will continue to be paid at 8%.
