An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Fixed-Term Teaching Positions – Monagea National School
Monagea National School is a Catholic primary school with nine class teachers, including eight mainstream classes and one Deaf/Hard of Hearing Class. Our current enrolment stands at 215 pupils. We are now inviting applications for two fixed-term teaching positions beginning in the 2025/2026 school year.
Applicants must hold a recognised certificate to teach Religious Education. The successful candidates may be assigned to mainstream or special education roles, depending on the needs of the school at the time of appointment. Final teaching duties will be at the discretion of the principal.
The following attributes and areas of experience are particularly valued in this recruitment process:
-A keen interest or previous experience in Gaeilge, STEM education, and the promotion of whole-school wellbeing.
-A strong capacity to work collaboratively within a school team.
Additional experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
-Familiarity with the various team teaching approaches, such as station teaching and in-class support models.
-An understanding of or experience in implementing Restorative Practice.
-Confidence in integrating digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
-Music, sport, or other extracurricular activities that contribute positively to school life.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reflective, and dedicated teachers who are committed to supporting the ethos of our school and contributing to its ongoing development.
