An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Additional Information:

The Board of Management initially advertised the two permanent vacancies on www.staffroom.ie on the 5th day of June, 2025 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Achonry. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 9th day of June, 2025. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on that website to the 11th day of June, 2025. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.

In addition to the two permanent mainstream class teacher vacancies advertised here, x2 temporary teacher and x1 long-term substitute teacher vacancies also available from 1st September 2026, may also be filled from this selection process.
