An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Griffeen Valley ETNS is a three stream primary school based in Lucan and operated under the patronage of Educate Together.
Applicants should hold a suitable qualification in Special Needs Assiting with a minimum of a QQI level 3 qualification along with experience of working with children. Experience of working with children with additioanl need including autism is essential. We are opening our second ASD class in September and experience of supporting children in a special class is desirable.
Applicants should demonstrate a knowledge of SEN in a variety of educational settings including mainstream and autism class. The candidate should demonstrate strong teamwork skills and flexibilty including the ability to adapt to different children's needs and classroom environments. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism are essential at all times and the successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate and liaise with staff, parents and external professionals as necessary. Finally candidates will need to demonstrate a committment to the Educate Together ethos of the school.
