An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Fergus' National School is a mainstream, Catholic school with two special classes for autistic learners. We invite applications for two fixed-term teaching positions. Candidates must hold a certificate to teach RE. The successful candidate may be assigned to a mainstream class or special education teaching position - the final decision on assignment will be determined by the principal.
Highly desirable requirements include;
-probabtion
- knowledge & experience of teaching pupils with a range of complex needs
- previous experience in literacy, numeracy, wellbeing initiatives as well as a willingness and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Experience in the following would be advantageous;
-Station/Team Teaching
-Restorative Practice
-IT
Applicants should be diligent, enthusiastic & innovative teachers who are willing to get involved in our whole school community and contribute to the overall development of the school.
