An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Chormaic Special School invites applications from qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated Special Needs Assistants.
Experience working with children and young people with general learning disabilities (GLD), autism, and additional needs in a special school setting is highly desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a committed and dynamic school team is highly desirable.
Candidates with a level 5 in intellectual disabilities studies course is desirable
Experience or familiarity with communication systems such as LÁMH, AAC, and visual supports is desirable.
Experience working with students with behaviors of concern and training in positive behaviour support is desirable.
Safety Intervention (CPI) training is desirable.
First aid and manual handling training is desirable.
Appointment is subject to confirmation of qualifications, current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
