Additional Information:
Carmona School caters for pupils aged 4-18 years with severe or profound general learning difficulties . Many pupils have additional needs such as autism, physical disability and complex medical conditions. We have a whole school approach to Positive Behaviour Supports and we also follow a Total Communication approach. We are a small and supportive school team.
Essential criteria
• The successful candidate must have experience working with children with complex needs
• Experience using Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and knowledge of Lamh
• Experience of using positive approaches to respond to behaviours of concern
Candidates must be positive, flexible and work well in a team environment. The successful candidate must be willing to engage in relevant CPD, have a strong work ethic and respect the ethos of the school. Duties may include assisting pupils in the swimming pool, assisting pupils at horse riding and assisting on out-of-school visits, walks and similar activities.
