An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

ABACAS Kilnamanagh is a special school for children with Autism and Complex Needs.
The successful applicant will work closely along side a classroom teacher, a team of highly experienced SNAs, an onsite behaviour analyst as well as external visiting professionals. Significant experience working with pupils with Autism and communication difficulties is essential. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience with the management of behaviours of concern and the promotion of positive behaviour strategies. Experience in TEACCH, knowlegde of Lámh, PECS and positive behaviour strategies is beneficial.
A FETAC level 3 major qualification major qualification on the national framework of qualifications or a minimum of three grade D's in the Junior Cert is essential.
