An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

DSP has a culture of working in teams, supportive collegiality, compassionate communication, resolving issues through restorative practices, encouraging student voice, fostering parental involvement and engaging in innovative educational practices. The school has a Forest School programme in place for almost ten years and is a Changemaker School nurturing empathy, leadership, creativity and teamwork. Current SSE focus is Music and Wellbeing.

Candidates should have Teaching Council registration and show evidence of and commitment to ongoing Professional Development. Knowledge and experience of Additional Needs, commitment to the ethos of Educate Together, strong interpersonal skills and experience of meaningful teamwork are beneficial. Duties may be subject to change to match the needs of the children.

The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
