An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Maternity leave teaching posts will also be available.
St. Michael's House Grosvenor School, Leopardstown Road, Dublin 18 is a Special School for pupils aged four to eighteen years with a Moderate General Learning Disability (8 students per class), some of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum, 6 students per class. ( We also have classes for pupils with a severe Learning Disability).
All qualified primary teachers are eligible to work in this school. Post-primary teachers are also eligible to apply for these post. Applicants must be registered with the Teaching Council. An additional qualifications in Special Education is advantageous. Experience of working in a special education setting and dedication to helping students with special educational needs to achieve their potential is important
Three permanent teaching posts and 1 fixed-term post are available.
