An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St. Patrick's School is a Special School that provides education for students with Moderate to Severe/Profound General Learning Disabilities. Many of our students have multiple disabilities and additional diagnoses such as Autism, epilepsy, hearing or visual impairments, and use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
We are currently seeking to fill three full-time, fixed-term Special Needs Assistant (SNA) positions.
Essential Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience and competencies in Special Education
• Willingness and ability to provide intimate care, including support for students with epilepsy
• Manual handling training and experience
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
• Familiarity with PECS, Lámh, AAC devices, and the TEACCH approach
• A recognised SNA qualification at QQI Level 5 or higher
Successful candidates must:
• Be committed to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and respect for the ethos of the school
• Be positive, flexible, and work well as part of a team
