Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Holy Family School caters for children aged 4-18. Pupils have a moderate/multiple disability, severe and profound disability and/or Autism. The school currently employs 61 SNAs.
In addition to the 1 permanent position there are 6 temporary positions for the coming school year.
Applicants should have experience in working with children with a learning disability, physical, sensory and complex difficulties, and have worked as part of a school based team. SNAs must be willing to work in all classes. Experience in essential school based competencies include - hoisting, toileting/incontinence issues, catheterisation, disruptive/challenging behaviour, assisting with physiotherapy/occupational/speech and language therapy exercises, assist in swimming pool.
IT experience of AAC devices, iPads, tablets, switches, interactive whiteboards, Lamh sign language desirable
