The Board of Management of Wolfhill NS invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Principal Teacher to take effect from 28/08/2025.
Wolfhill NS is a Catholic school under the patronage of Kildare and Leighlin, Bishop Denis Nulty.
Wolfhill NS is a co-educational, vertical, mainstream school, with two teaching posts.
Recruitment and appointment procedures are in accordance with DE Circular 0044/2019, Chapter 4.
The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the 4 domains of leadership and management, as specified in Circular 0044/2019.
1. Leading Teaching & Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
Applications must have a recognised certificate to teach Religious Education in Ireland.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- An understanding and commitment to the values, vision and Catholic ethos of Wolfhill NS and an ability to support and promote school/ community links
- An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum, a range of teaching experience and a high level of understanding of SEN, EAL inclusion and differentiation.
- An excellent level of understanding and knowledge of school leadership, management and administration in a primary school setting.
Involvement in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of school based initiatives.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively with all staff members, parents, Board of Management and the wider school community.
- A proven experience in prioritising, planning and policy development.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills required to lead and maintain a happy, active and progressive school community.
