The candidates should have experience in working with and an understanding of special needs and be able to deal with parents and staff in a professional manner. Duties will include escorting children to and from school, assisting children to board and safely exit from the school transport, ensuring that all children are seated with the seat belts provided and ensuring that each pupil is received by some responsible person at the school and home setting. Previous experience working with children with special needs would be an advantage but is not essential.
Applicants must supply Garda Vetting.
The role is approximately 11.50 hours per week with rate of pay €15.50 per hour during the school term only.
